95% Parents often enroll their kids into classes in order to teach them how to defend themselves but are not aware of the valuable lessons that a kid comes across during his training.

While self defense is certainly one advantage to pursue any given fighting style, it is the least among several benefits.
So what are those values that karate adds to one’s life? Let’s know what changes karate practice bring in children’s life.

Discipline and Focus:

Discipline is an essential part of karate. Instructions in karate, Judo, Aikido, & similar systems can help young people regain the discipline they need. The recurrence of moves encourages a deep focus as children struggle to master those moves with precision and thereby helps in improving concentration.

Discipline need not be daunting or difficult. It comes from making a decision to commit to something that is deemed valuable.
Self control comes from having respect for one another. One of the core beliefs of the martial arts is respect. To reach a high level of performance within karate you must be prepared to discipline yourself. Discipline improves quality of life.

Rigorous physical exercise during karate classes helps to restore physical fitness through out. Obesity is growing concern among youngsters of the society. Physical fitness improves physical activities & reflexes. It gives additional stamina and improves strength to beat all stress.

Concentration skills are developed through rigorous training sessions & practice of kata, a series of prearranged karate techniques.

Self respect Discipline & humility:


Karate training begins and ends with bow. Students bow each other i.e. give respect and take respect. As he progresses further in his training skills, he has to undergo performance tests which determine where he stands. The training is conducted in a well organized and strict disciplined manner.

Lastly, knowing all these benefits that karate training offers to individuals’ one can understand that karate adds enormous value to your life rather it is a way of life. Every youngster and children of society must adopt this to become a better citizen, a better human being!
